VICENTE GARCรA FUENTES RII

Painting has been part of my life since childhood โ€” it has always been my way of communicating with the world. My artistic journey changed completely when I received an artist residency grant that took me to Iceland. There, surrounded by glaciers, mist, and endless light, watercolor became my language to capture silence, atmosphere, and depth.

Today, I focus on distilling the essence of the landscapes that inspire me โ€” skies, ice, sea, volcanoes โ€” always guided by one obsession: **light**. Every composition is adjusted to express not just what I see, but what I feel.

In 2025, I became the **first Spanish elected member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Water Colours (London)**, and was awarded a prize by the **American Watercolor Society (New York)**, two of the most respected institutions in watercolor worldwide.

My work has been recognized with more than **20 international awards**, and my artistic vision continues to evolve โ€” always with the same purpose: to paint with honesty, intention, and soul.
